We want all our students to be successful in their studies and eventually, career. As part of your educational experience with SHRM, you will be assigned a lecturer as your mentor upon commencement of your programme. Your mentor will advice you on issues you may face during your course of study with us. He/She will meet you at least once every term to discuss your progress in your programme.

For international students who have just arrived in Singapore, the mentor will assist you to cope with the new environment and settle in promptly so that you may concentrate on your studies. You are encouraged to talk to your mentors regularly or discuss any difficulties you may be facing.

As you progress and grow over the duration of your stay with us, your mentor will direct you to the most suitable academic and/or career path to take upon completion of your programme. Prior to completion of your studies, our Head of Career Services will provide you with career counselling and placement assitance. You are also encouraged to approach other lecturers for advice in their area of expertise in the hospitality industry.
