ASSESSMENT

The program methodology and assessment is based on assignments, not just ordinary assignments but what we in SHRM call Action learning Assignments. (ALA).

Central to our Action Learning Assignments (ALA), is the careful selection of case studies. Cases would have an Asian focus (Haier Group from China, Singapore Airlines of Singapore) or well-known multi-national companies which international students would be familiar with. ALA assist in relating theoretical concepts to the real world and also provides students an opportunity to apply practical knowledge of the business concepts that are taught in the classroom, by working both individually or in groups with the guidance of the lecturers.

The selected case would be analysed from various perspectives in relation to the modules being taught. At the end of the programme, student would not only have gained theoretical knowledge but an indepth knowledge of the workings of the particular organization through our ALA approach.

In the event a student fails a module, the student will be given a chance to take a supplementary paper/ re-submission of assignments. Failing a supplementary paper will result in the student having to retake the module again.
