Refund Policy (Effective as of 1 March 2010)

Refunds are based on the following terms and conditions:

% of [the aggregate amount of the fees paid If Student’s written notice of withdrawal is received
100% More than 14 days before the Course Commencement Date ("Maximum Refund")
50% Before, but not more than 14 days before the Course Commencement Date
No refund After, but not more than 1 day after Course Commencement Date
 
  • Application fee is non-refundable.
  • There is a "cooling off" period of 7 working days after signing the PEI-Student Contract. Within these 7 days, and regardless whether the Course Commencement Date has passed, student can submit a written notice of withdrawal to SHRM and receive the Maximum Refund amount stipulated above, less any Non-Tuition Fees consumed by student
  • Deduction of Non-Tuition Fees consumed by student for refunds is stipulated in the Miscellaneous Fees schedule of the student contract.  It includes uniform (if issued), prorated resource fee (books, study notes, culinary materials), ICA Student’s Pass fees, medical checkup, medical insurance, and premiums under the Fee Protection Scheme.  
  • Refunds (if any) will be processed within 7 working days after the written notice of withdrawal/ transfer is approved by SHRM.  
  • For withdrawal during the “cooling off” period, refunds will be processed within 7 working days after written notice of withdrawal is received. Written notice of withdrawal received after 3.00 pm will be considered as submission on the next working day.
 

Transfer to Another Course

  1. Requests for transfer must be submitted in writing and submitted to the Student Services Department. Written Notice of Transfer received after 3.00 pm will be considered as submission on the next working day.  The refund policy applies.
  2. Requests for transfer are treated as withdrawal from a course and treated as a new application for a new course.  Student must meet the entry requirements of the course applied for.
  3. Application for transferring to another course offered by SHRM will be responded to in writing within 21 working days from the date of submission of written request for transfer.
  4. Upon approval of the transfer, the previous student contract will be considered as void. All discounts/rebates that the student was entitled to under the old contract shall be forfeited.
  5. International students who wish to transfer to another course offer by SHRM will also need to submit their Student’s Pass application to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) for approval. 

Withdrawal

  1. Request for withdrawal must be made in writing and submitted to the Student Services Department. Written Notice of Withdrawal received after 3.00 pm will be considered as submission on the next working day.  The refund policy applies.
  2. SHRM shall within 7 working days of receipt of the Written Notice of Withdrawal, send student a response to the address stated in the Written Notice of Withdrawal.  If no address is stated, the letter will be sent to the address stated in the enrolment form. For the purpose of course fee refund, the commencement date is deemed to be the date of receipt of a Withdrawal Letter, which has been duly acknowledged by SHRM.
  3. Upon approval of the withdrawal, the previous student contract will be considered as void. All discounts/rebates that the student was entitled to under the student contract shall be forfeited.
  4. For international students who transfer to another institution, their Student’s Pass will be cancelled. Attendance record and other relevant documentation to facilitate the transfer will be provided upon request.
