The program is designed to produce graduates who shall eventually take on specialized Food & Beverage roles in the hospitality industry.

The course equips students with hands-on knowledge in all operational aspects of the Food and Beverage sector within the hospitality industry. This is to provide students with a strong in-depth foundation which is required to manage a restaurant or a food and beverage department in the industry.

This followed by a six-month internship or students will do an industry project. This is to allow students to transfer in-class knowledge into real-life experience

  ENG1100 Intermediate English I & II
  This module prepares students for studies in an English-speaking environment, so they can use the language competently in business and social situations.
   
  HCM1105a Food & Beverage Services
  This course explains about the food and beverage industry and its roles in an organisation. It also demonstrates to students the types of equipment, areas in the service, methods of service and practice. Students will be exposed to different practices of service, from traditional to classic to modern services, incorporating western and local food dishes.
   
  HCM1105b Food & Beverage Skills
  This course explains about the food and beverage industry and its roles within a restaurant and hotel. It also demonstrates to students the types of equipment, areas in the service, methods of service and practice. Students will be exposed to different practices of service, from traditional to classic to modern services, incorporating western and local food dishes.
   
  HCM1101 Introduction to Hospitality Industry
  Students are introduced to the hospitality industry as a whole, its growth. Also taught the importance of the hospitality operations in sales, tourism, human relations and the industry in future years and it's impact on the global economy.
   
  ENG1101 English for Hospitality I
  This module enables students to learn the fundamentals of English, in particular, English grammer with the hope of enhancing their proficiency in English, especially their spoken English and giving them confidence when speaking in public.
   
  HCM1204a Food & Beverage Management
  The course will increase students' understanding on the various types of operations, attributes of service personnel, understanding different menus, beverages and specialized services found in the hospitality industry.
   
  HCM1203 Food and Beverage Control
  In this course students will acquire knowledge in food and beverage costing and sales control, the control of food and beverage purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing and production control.
   
  HCM1204b Practical Restaurant Services
  The course applies the practical service skills and theory into real restaurant operation.
   
  ENG1201 English for Hospitality II
  This module enables students to derive deeper understanding of the English Language, in particular business communication such as report writing, businesresumes and business letters.
